Sounds like an issue with the amp. Working amps should just work and with typical home speakers should be silent. NO hum, no hiss, nothing... agree with @HiFi Guy it's time to let the dealer take over from here.

Not the best photos but this was a $1M+ Meyer LEO line array system (I spec'd it but hired it in, wasnt a system I owned) at a stadium in Orlando I cant mention for a client I cant mention supporting an artist who's name I cant mention.

This one was interesting. RING RING~~~ "Hi we want 'big PA' sound but no big stacks and you cant fly overhead" Eight subs in front of the stage and the loudest/best sounding pole-mountable speakers available at the time. We measured 120 clean dB on the dancefloor and the kick drum felt like...

https://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=92996 It's long, there's lots of reading and photos and it documents a really cool journey of how to take extraordinary stylus photos.

Sometimes a nightclub needs a little support for a show. 15,000 additional watts of audio should take care of that.

For a while it felt like my system and room were changing all the time... No WAF concerns on this event but it did need to sound perfect at concert levels 1000 feet away.

Phono Cartridges - Your favorites and least favorites?

Ray Parkerhurst on another forum has done extensive stacked-image photography of stylus tips including accurate um measurements of the facets and degree of alignment accuracy. He'll image yours for free if you send it to him. For me, it's particularly interesting to see new tips and their...

Phono Cartridges - Your favorites and least favorites?

Respectfully, it's not about killing vibe, it's simply fact. And what we spend is our choice. An AT Vm95C stylus is $25, sounds perfectly good, is kind to records and will last 200 - 300 hours, the same as any other non-line contact tip. Yes there is a "per hour" running cost but look on...

Phono Cartridges - Your favorites and least favorites?

1000 hours on an elliptical stylus is pure fantasy. 250 - 350 is more realistic. Those numbers are supported by Jico, Nagoaka, any other manufacturer that is honest, and lots of microscope photos. I have strong feelings about this and believe it is one of the uglier parts of this hobby...

    Technical Difficulties Thread

That stylus is obviously not right. But doesn't mean it wont sound good or that you cant use it. You need a loupe or microscope to get a better view. If the diamond is aligned correctly and points straight down then you can align to the cantilever. We cant tell that from these photos...

The Technics Turntable Fan Club - Questions, Advice, Discussion

Backwards counterweight on Technics is a known method of putting the weight closer to the pivot. Looks funny but it works. Acceleromator measurements on the tonearm will show a higher primary resonant frequency and slightly cleaner resonant behavior with the counterweight closer to the pivot...
