I'm the same nowadays I hate it. i was able to get a NOMTW in black cuz the splatter sold out in my cart when they did the main drop. I'm bummed seeing people get a splatter this week when i was there I missed out cuz the "sketchy purchases" they had that took a lot of spaltters 😔

I think it’s cuz he knows he has fans who are major collectors and want both copies so why not make money twice. I too thought it was weird the deluxe came out the same day as the standard vinyl
