I sell comic books for a living, and over the last couple weeks, maybe 15-20% of my outgoing orders look like that. So far they all end up where they're going, but it's a LOT of emails to calm customers down lately.

I was bummed about that too, but then saw it's only 3 songs. It's like opposite of the eco-vinyl / bio-vinyl releases. 12" of wax for three songs in an unnecessary slipcase.

I guess the Joyride vinyl box set didn't do well enough to merit the extras for this one on vinyl too.

I think most fans (including me) think Shapeshifter is THAT album. First one is really fun. The second one is a lot better. It's super shitty and disappointing that they'd cheat fans that way. And not even properly announcing it -- they just started adding it to their merch table a few weeks...

I'm only half kidding. I'll pick it up at some point. Live albums are rarely top sellers anyway, so if an artist is actually going to do one, I'm not sure who they're aiming at with a truncated release. Anyone willing to pay $40 for 2LP would probably do $50 for 3LP that's not as distilled.

With Amoeba's 15% off code OCT15, the new Cure was $28 shipped for me. Waited too long trying to decide between the black and the marble versions and marble went OOS making the decision for me.

It's rough. I think I only did the cancel trick once a few years back, but I did it for the three items I wanted this year because they were all vastly different price points. Even last year (post distributor change) I could find 3 of something at each price point I wanted. I know it doesn't...

No details about online sales yet (forthcoming), but Marcy Playground unceremoniously announced that Shapeshifter was finally reissued on vinyl and is only available on tour presently. So keep an eye on their shop if you're interested!

Man, Target just ain't what it used to be. Did find a couple things, but this is the first time I've struggled to find things to put in the cart instead of trying to find a few things to remove to stay on budget. Did get a couple box sets, but I'm weary of pre-ordering through Target these days...
