Working in Nashville this week, I popped into the TMR store. Really fun! I picked up a 13” version of White Blood Cells, because why not.

I love that VMP is willing to press up a bunch of copies of underground music, market be damned. I have zero interest in cassette rips to vinyl—it’s like me making a Blu-ray of something I taped off of cable TV in the 90s—but the overall idea is admirable.

Well the Lloyd Center experiment was interesting! This new spot is closer to a neighborhood home base for them and Beacon. Andrew of Beacon Sound is one of the bright lights of Portland’s underground music scene, and I’m always pulling for him.

Just read through all 22 pages of this thread. What a journey! Many picks that I had never heard before, and some pleasant surprises with albums that I had discounted (for whatever reason) that I wound up enjoying. Generosity is contagious.
