    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

The thing is, if this was the only error, it's be way more understandable. Out of four records, they've screwed up two.

Right, but it's still a lack of QC. This was billed as a high end box.

Just emailed VMP to tell them they've shit the bed on the second round too. Will let people know what I hear back.

My buddy just caught this too. (Although given the Pittsburgh location, I think that's you.) Yeah, mine is mislabeled as well. On the Schizophrenia album, the labels are on the wrong side. What according to the labels should be "Kryptonite" is actually "Tom Thumb" and vice versa.

It's okay, but only because you're Canadian. If I ever have the choice to talk to a Canadian or an American (which actually for work comes up quite a bit), I go with the Canadian. Your kindness precedes you.

And I just threw up in my mouth in a little. Let's make Needles and Grooves one place we don't see Trump.

The thing is, VMP's Woodstock box looked to just be a reshuffling of everything that was in the 25th anniversary box. If they'd done some type of pressing of unrelreased stuff like Rhino did, I'd have jumped on it.

I've not read any reviews that have come out within the last month. But when the set was released in 2002, it got mediocre scores from most of the major sites. That said, the Rolling Thunder tour recordings have always been very mixed among fans. They're a bit ragged and raw and they rework some...

They very much are! The tunes are very hummable and the band swings together very well. It's looking like a good copy goes for around $15. Some other recent favorites include Blue Mitchell's Collision in Black and The Ultimate Elvin Jones.

    The Blue Note Thread

I've listened to about 70 Blue Note releases over the last week. My top pick right now is 3 Sounds - Live at the Lighthouse. I've found myself playing it a few times a day over the last week. Interestingly, it's not had a rerelease since 1970.

Apologies if I missed something (I don't know about your collection other than appearances on the Blue Note forum), but do you have a ton of Dylan? I don't have a huge collection, maybe a dozen or so of his main albums, but i think his Rolling Thunder stuff was pretty awesome. There's a ton of...

    Pre-Order Thread

Whoever is in charge of the Bob Dylan releases is seriously underestimating how many vinyl collectors love Dylan. In preparation of the Scorsese documentary, you can either order the 10 CD set of nearly all never been officially released material or buy a poorly reviewed 3 LP set from an entry...

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

I hate it. That group was a bunch of cloistered annoying middle aged dudes trying to one up each other with what they'd blown that month's paycheck on. I've completely deleted Facebook because I find it an annoying platform for similar reasons, but if I hadn't I would have left the group by now...

Just got mine along with the most recent Vinyl Moon. Everything looks fine. Both backs are from the original releases.

I had the same dilemma before posting about that. You must be reading my mind, Enoch!

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

I've started keeping a score card as I listen to Blue Note albums. Here's four I checked out today: always something there to remind me - stanley turrentine (6) say it loud! - lou donaldson (4) collision in black - blue mitchell (8) elegant soul - gene harris and his the three sounds (8) I...

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Despite fumbling the ball on a handful of occasions so far, I'll say this about VMP and the Blue Note Anthology. It's gotten me listening to jazz again. I've got maybe a 100 jazz LPs (Blue Note and Resonance stuff mostly) but lately, I've been going through this WIKI list...

The third podcast is out. If you want to listen to someone from VMP talking over Don Was for 20 minutes, you will love it!

Seconded on Numero. Light on the Southside is one of the best compilations I ever bought.

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

I wasn't following the foil stamp part of things. That's some bs. I do feel like our guard is up right now because we've given them the money and VMP fumbled what should have been an underhand toss. As someone who has written for Rolling Stone, the stuff they're sharing is obviously all...
