    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Country Willie 1st Side sounds really good. Silent, incredibly silent vinyl, and great separation. Please let them all sound this good all the way through.

Mine has noise, too. I gave it 20x as many spins in the Spin Clean and it did improve but not the greatest pressing.

What are your top 5 favorite VMP store exclusives that you’ve gotten and top 5 VMP store exclusives you’re most gutted for having missed?

I was glad to be able to get Biggie, Soul Food, and Cladia Thompson. Really wish I could have gotten Gabor Szabo and De La Soul.

Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

It's not that bad. The first Gang Starr is only bad compared to the rest of what is probably a top 5 HH discography. It's also a missing link in most people's discography if, like me, you want damn near everything DJ Premier touched (well, not Limp Bizquick).

Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I would have preferred Kool G but I'm not crying about Gang Starr. If only for Manifest. The other two are in top 20% of the offerings as far as I'm concerned in terms of quality + scarcity.

Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I'm a DJ Premier completist, I wouldn't mind the 1st Gang Starr album, even if it's not their best. I have been asking for Kool G to be a choice for a long time. I'd prefer KGR so there would be a possibility of getting Daily Operation in the future. It's hard to find and the 3D cover is $$$...

    Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Jailbreak is a great album and very influential. The two guitar interplay at the end of Impossible Germany by Wilco could be a straight pull from Thin Lizzy and Golden Smog covered The Cowboy Song on their first EP On Golden Smog. Even The Boys are Back in Town isn't straight hard rock. The...

    Hip Hop

Mine is great. No noise. Never would have suspected it was GZ. Unlike my first copy of 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time. Put it on had the noise looked it up on Discogs, and sure enough GZ.

    Young & Restless was 1989.

Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

This would be right up there with about a perfect selection in my mind.

I don't know what they can do with the Interpol. I always heard it was a kind of crappy digital master.

Yep, hoping something Marly Marl related. Probably get disappointed 😞.

Vinyl Me Pauly (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Wouldn't a larger knife be MORE of a conversation piece? I know if I saw a machete next to someone's turntable I'd have a lot of questions. Might be more focused on getting the hell out of there than having a conversation at that point, though.

    Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Both my copies had distracting noise all over the record. For an album with so many quiet parts, it is completely unacceptable.

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

I am really happy getting Country Willie but if a couple others had been swapped for Teatro and Phases and Stages, it would have been almost perfect for me.

They did Veckatimest as a 45rpm and did not improve it at all.

Maybe you can ask him what's up with the Retro D'Vinyl pressings.

I got a copy and a replacement last month and Side 2 Disk 1 skips like a mother.

I've got the GZ crackle on the lead in to Side A of LET.
