I'd put the packaging on these maybe a step below the Disk Union Blue Note Mono series which went to the ultimate lengths to replicate original...for the price with the Yen still very low, they are unbelievable value and truly what other companies should aspire to...

I've got most of these and think they represent the best value reissues done today - the packaging is best in the world, with the attention to detail being unsurpassed and the quality equal to that - they are sourced from digital, but still sound amazing - are the ne plus ultra in fidelity, no -...

    J-Jazz (Japanese Jazz)

HMVs shipping has gotten really expensive IMO because they use EMS service, but they do take out the Japanese VAT so at least you're saving 10% on the vinyl cost. Its strange because they use DHL on Discogs...No worries about packaging from any dealer in Japan, always packed well and taken care of

I've got the UK cut from the early 90s that I haven't listened to in forever....its such a mizell brothers masterpiece...im tempted for a Kevin gray cut probably takes some of the high end edge off...

Ogawa-san is a legend, but I can never buy online from him since everything is gone almost immediately - he is responsible for Deep Jazz Reality and Project; Re-Vinyl series. He is very generous with his time if you're even in Tokyo and worth a visit to his store, but if you have something...

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

very possible...and I might be wrong, but I thought Wilder basically took the whole of Miles catalog and did the definitive DSD masters from which all things spring...but happy to be wrong on this one...but anything Miles is worth questioning really hard if there is a digital step also, I don't...

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

pretty sure Mark Wilder does everything in digital....so I bet this was cut from Mark's DSD remaster...not that it matters, the dude knows miles and everything sounds really good

where's the best place to get these now that amazon is 38.99 - I like amazon because so many are warped and easy returns, but its nearly a 50% increase from last year... target, Walmart??

    J-Jazz (Japanese Jazz)

yes...they all sound good. full stop. there are no bad tbm records sound quality wise - the only ones i haven't liked are the recent vocal records from Ayako Hosakawa on craftman reissues, but Ive never heard originals of these. generally, the first 2 pressings use the same metal as the...
