'We Want Miles' 1983 live album. I really don't get down with later day Miles that often but I have always dug that album for some reason. 'Jean Pierre' especially. That's my pick probably no one else will say :)

Day 25: War. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Godspeed You! Black Emperor (or God's Pee?? as per the spine) - Allelujah Don't Bend Ascend (2012, Constellation) These lovable punks that definitely have some feelings about the futility of war. The sentiment runs through so much of...

Day 24: Bob Dylan’s Birthday Bob Dylan - Planet Waves (1974, Asylum) I really respect Dylan. Great songwriter obviously, poet of the 1st degree, huge legendary figure in American music. ...I just have never been a fan of listening to much of Bob's music. I am aware I'm in the minority here...

Day 23: Food You Gotta Have Soul - Raw Sonoran R&B and Funk 1957-1971 (2020, Zia) So I'm not much of a cook honestly. But we finally live in a spot with a lil backyard and a grill and I'm itching to learn the real deal dad trade of grilling. That aside, when I do put food together, I like to...

Everybody always talks about Saga, how it's SO good, and you HAVE to read it...and they are all ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. It is so fantastic. Enjoy, I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.

Day 22: Ugly Duckling Broken Social Scene - You Forgot it in People (2002, Arts and Crafts) I struggled with the category, but ended up here. Broken Social Scene put out 'Feel Good Lost' before this one, and I absolutely love that album (it was a go to sleep time album for a long stretch)...

Day 21 - Friday Night Sunday Morning Soul Robert Flack - First Take (1969, Atlantic) This was this AM, it's now very late in the PM here cause I had to work all day and didn't get to post it. It was a very nice spin over coffee though. Beat up old copy but still a great album.

Day 20: Scottish Tunes Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight (2008, Fat Cat, 2014 Reissue) It's been just over three years since Scott Hutchinson left this world. Thought maybe I'd be able to listen to this without having a viceral/crippling emotional reaction. ha! I was wrong. I...

Day 19: Family Play an album that you were introduced to in your youth by your family and that you still love today. Harry Nilsson - The Point (1972, RCA Victor - 2012 reissue) Admittedly I was introduced to this album by way of the cartoon adaptation (Ringo Starr voiced version) which we...

Day 18: N&G AoTM Tortoise - TNT (1998, Thrill Jockey - 2019 Reissue) I thankfully had one of the the AoTM despite being a fresh faced N&G'er, and as well it's definitely in the top tier of influential albums in my musical life. Somewhere just after the end of high school, when I was deep in...

I had only checked my side B for the locked groove (which it has) but just sat down for a bit with it, and I have this version. Two different cuts. Side A definitely has more noise, and things sound pushed to almost distortion at times (where they shouldn't). I was gonna do credit they offered...

Day 17: Irish Tunes Thin Lizzy - Vagabonds of the Western World Their third full length, and last of the original trio lineup. I picked up the three Decca albums when LITA reissued them years ago, but didn't spend much time with them aside from a listen or two. It's good to finally go back and...

Catch up time.. Day 16: Classical Nils Frahm - Solo (2015, Erased Tapes) Such a wonderful composer. I enjoy his other work a ton as well, but there is something so special and intimate about this album. Like a little private concert. Hearing the movement of the pedals, the felt of the hammers...

Well I got my Sturgil, finally put it on tonight, figured I check side B to start, aaand, locked groove in effect. I already emailed about replacement, but how do they handle those , will I have to send back this copy first? I was a member back in like 2016 but never had to do a replacement.
