It is hard to make a firm statement here, but I think "Juju" is my favorite jazz record of all time and the fact that Night Dreamer, Juju, and Speak No Evil, were all recorded within a year is just mind-blowing.

I can not speak to all MMJ titles, but for "Blue Train" specifically I have had a stereo Liberty, an OG mono, an NY mono, and the MMJ. I think the MMJ lacks the punch of the originals. The bass is a little softer and the trombone seems to be missing a little something. All of these pressings...

The only title tempting to me at $75 is "Idle Moments" as it is mostly a fairly quiet session and one of the best in the Blue Note catalog.

My tops on the label are probably Makaya "In The Moment" and Irreversible Entanglements "s/t." The Ben Lamar Gay record is really great too.

I went to the Gilles Peterson/Intl Anthem label showcase show last night, it was awesome. I really feel lucky to have had a front seat to the label blowing up.

Received my December ROTM today, even though it still said unfulfilled on the site, so they are all caught up for me. Still wondering what happened to "When the Pawn..." At this point getting a copy of that is my sole reason for being a member.
