    Record Store Day 2024

Plaid Rooms site freaked out and by the time the stock option came back Remi Wolf was gone. Have orders in Stars and Fleet Foxes so I think that's my RSD

Shill buying / selling is a real thing and I would not be surprised if that happens

    Record Store Day 2024

I saw a Reddit post that someone grabbed a copy but other than that I haven't, and unlike some others Stars isn't insanely popular so I'm curious to why it's so hard to find

    Record Store Day 2024

I have a feeling Laufey might be one of those late arrivers. Neither of my locals got a sniff of it. Or it'll just get pressed for real soon.

https://store.noahkahan.com/products/i-was-i-am-vinyl Noah Kahan putting out a different variant of his RSD album like 10 minutes after West Coast RSD stores open is kinda hilarious and kinda dickish. Good album though I have it spinning now

    Record Store Day 2024

Newbury will probably be worth checking out when they post stuff. I saw a decent stock when I was out despite them being wiped of a lot of other stuff

    Record Store Day 2024

As an aside, if that Jenny Lewis pic disk isn't in 50% off RSD sales for the rest of time I'll eat my proverbial hat. That price was insane

    Record Store Day 2024

I ended up around 45 in line, they took my order so we will see what they actually have, but only two of my wants (Stars and Chappell Roan) were out and their OOS and not received list was super eclectic. Interesting day

    Record Store Day 2024

Definitely higher interest than most other non Swift RSDs. We got here with 50 min til open and are two "sides" deep, guessing 50-60 people Edit: in comparison, in normal years I can get here around 730 and be one side in

She is very very talented, one of the best fiddle players out there and the singles are promising, definitely worth a listen.

They track by store prior to as well. Like this is the Iggy and the Stooges record - only says it for some stores Vs. something like Jenny Lewis which is at all stores. Now I don’t know how accurate it holds up but in the past it’s worked for me

    New Music Friday!

Her first album was a low key masterpiece in my view, time to put in an order.

    Record Store Day 2024

If you look at the album itself on Bull Moose's website it should say if it's at the particular store you're going to or not. Though I can't guarantee accuracy for it.

To add on to @spilledleche 's fully accurate summary, the other half of the album will presumably be a second physical purchase in the future if she releases it at all (the 3AM Midnights tracks still don't have a wax based release officially).

Finished up listen one. "Slog" is the word I'd use, or "Drag". Not gonna ick anyone else's yum but to me it felt like she tried to be Lana and didn't really get there and took two hours to do it. Hope others get more from it.

    Record Store Day 2024

Bull Moose still runs busy if not as busy as stores in bigger population centers. With that said they tend to get good allocation and I don't think jazz really goes that day anyway. My gut says you're probably okay barring something unexpected. I'd check Bull Moose's site for stock by store to...

Man, I don't like this album. At least Midnights had a few really interesting tracks on it even if I didn't love the album itself - this is the first Swift album I've ever listened to that I've found straight out boring.

sad, beautiful, tragic: the n&g taylor swift thread

The double / triple album trend for artists who refuse to edit an album is one of my least favorite modern trends (or I guess returning trends) so I hope the hit to miss ratio on this is good...
