I'll be interested to hear your thoughts of the MM-6 vs. the MP-7 (I'm sure the 7 is somewhat better, but not sure if it's as cost effective as the 6, as I am on a budget). I do hear high end detail with my Lounge, but you feel the Lounge is restricted on the top end compared to others?

On another note... the cueing on my StudioDeck lifts up slightly at an angle rather than straight up. so that when I lower back it starts playing before where I raised it. Anyone know if that can be adjusted?

I'm curious what your thoughts are regarding a Darlington Labs MM-6 or 7 versus a used Sutherland (probably KC vibe). (just trying to get input for if/when I do upgrade my phono stage).

Reducing surface noise is a noticeable improvement, so I would suggest an ultrasonic rcm. If you're looking for the greatest bang for the buck, I've been very happy with the results from using a diy one from Vevor. For under $250 it's hard to beat, and for more $ a HumminGuru would be nice.

The World of Sid & Marty Krofft was a trip, especially if your senses were "heightened". It's a shame it lasted less than a year.

I got one from Vevor and am very happy with it. I think it is one of the most cost effective things you can do to improve vinyl playback. My records come out with very little to no surface noise at all. I used a Spin Clean previously as well. I now use it as a rinse after ultrasonic cleaning...

Put a MP-200 stylus on the Nagaoka MP-150 on my Studiodeck and had a technician come out to align with pro tools. Even before any break in, vinyl sounds better than it ever has on my system! This should keep me contented for quite awhile. :giggle:

Yeah, you pretty much just have to figure it out, which fortunately isn't too hard. What voltage adaptor did you get? If it's 24v it may be more effective to run longer or get a lower voltage one.

Sadly I have sold many records through the years because they had more surface noise than I preferred. I certainly wish I had held on to them to clean now with my ultrasonic cleaner.
