Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I would strongly recommend Hit Men by Frederic Dannen, Plenty of Morris Levy and other pretty colorful people portrayed.

Keep in mind that this is just the Plaintiff's version of the events and of course, the narrative will be tilted towards their version of the facts. I would caution to not take this as definitive.

Not to derail this, but isn't the point of AI for customer service to get out instantaneous responses? I emailed them this AM to ask if I can transfer my credit to another member and nothing back yet. I figured it would come back right away if a robot is answering.

All Things King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Most definitely a great show last night here in Chicago. I was apprehensive about the venue but enjoyed myself as much as the Salt Shed show I attended (without the rain). My only complaint was that the "electronic" section went on way too long but other than that, stellar.

Don't forget this one: The Cross at the Crossroads

I'm on a break from VMP at the moment, but I am all in on the two Mwandishi titles (yes, the Henderson is really Mwandishi anyway). I have CDs of all of this and the related material (Priester, other Hendersons, Normal Connors) but I sure would love an LP similar to what Rhino did with...

    Gimme Metal Vinyl Club

Anyone in for Ghoul's Splatterthrash? I have to admit that I am not familiar with this record but know Ghoul from the Gimme Radio days. This is a pretty killer first run through on Tidal here. Any thoughts on whether it is worth the premium price? I suppose I shouldn't complain after what I...

Will say that the Borknagar record is pretty solid as well.

    Metal!

Nice to see some life here!! I wanted to mention that I really do want to like Thou and I know it's sacrilege, but they never did much for me. Here are a few I've loved this year but many more to discover: Spectral Voice - Sparagmos Darkthrone - It Beckons Us All Pallbearer - Mind Burns...

Agreed on this. He asked me to leave a review for him and I did (Google, I think). What a shame. First class dude and store. Hope it is not a sign of the state of Doom/Psych/Heavy Rock.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

You guys seem to like memes - here is one but we really should move all of this to Miscellaneous and not further bring down the excellent Classics thread:

    This.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

No. It's not. First, this is not a VMP Classics title - which is supposed to be Jazz, Blues or R&B. If anything, it would be a rock or essentials title. Second, the only paying for his "mistakes," if you want to call it that, was the very lenient sentence that he served for murdering...

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

I presume you posted this in the wrong thread? I get that it's an important record for the genre. Heck, my wife has this record but FUCK Varg Vikernes. The less energy directed towards him the better.

    Metal!

Hah - I figured that no one wanted to talk about metal anymore. In all seriousness, I'm ready to talk about the new Crypt Sermon over and over.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

Ok, I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic given the tone of a lot of the posts here but my comment was directed more towards the music, not the artifact.

    Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Ah, ok. I thought that people didn't like it. Makes sense. BUT DON'T YOU WANT THE VMP DELUXE TREATMENT OF EASY TO FIND REISSUES???????

    Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Going back to this from last week - why, may I ask? It's my favorite Priest (though I wouldn't buy this as I have a clean original).

Have to agree with this. $36 is a lot for this record.
