Any opinion on 80's european OJC/Riverside pressings of this one ? They should be AAA and worth 20€ shipping included, which would make them more interesting for an european guy like myself ?
So. Tenet.
Huge disappointment. It's a bit bloated and pompous, but mainly, the high concept was supposed to transpose with great visual, and... meh. Nothing interesting, the third act is almost as interesting as a live play of Call of Duty.
I lol'd so hard at the though that Christian Bale has range. He can physically transform and is not a bad actor, but I would not say he has a huge range, nor is a risk taker. Gaining or losing weight / muscle is not having range as an actor. Directors love him for playing driven characters and...
Missing records, It's been 14 days since my email to CS to get some information.
Last December 4 separates disputes went unanswered by VMP following my emails unanswered for weeks. I finally did receive some of the records I opened the dispute for, but after the dispute was closed by Paypal.
Yeah, just put an order for a NM 1983 CBS japanese KoB for 30€, shipping included. Maybe not my last order there in the next few months.
Moanin' was 50€ shipping included, so pretty much audiophile prices right now, but with an added flavor.
I've received my first japanese pressing of a jazz record.
A 1983 Blue Note Masterpiece Special Replica of Art Blakey's Moanin'.
Phew. Wow. Floored. It is as as good as expected, and more.
Pasteis de nata ? Man I know it's touristy as fuck, but the best I had were still from Belem from "the original bakery". I just gain a pound just thinking about it.
The best way to find a great asian restaurant in Paris is to have a look at the clientele, if there is loads of asian people in there, you can go in blind.
I cheat because I know Skalap will agree, but try some portuguese wine too, Douro valley wines are often great. A staple is Papa Figos, maybe not the absolute best, but a great entry point for Douro wines.
Duck confit and coq au vin are not really Lyon's specialties. Duck confit is more south-west with the wine Skalap prefers, like a Madiran. I think Coq au vin is more Burgundy's thing.
