The N&G Listening Club V1 - Archive only

I've enjoyed Hiatus Kaiyote this week. There's a familiarity to the album for me as it was featured quite a bit on radio here. I haven't quite connected with it though, I feel a sense of passive appreciation versus really getting in to it. I think that's largely my own distractions and reliance...

Morning Star are an absolute classic range, and actually the first incense I ever bought myself. They are a perfect example of that Japanese style with a lighter fragrance and lower smoke than many others. Classic choice 👌

    Secretly Society

I know this is semi off topic but one thing I absolutely love about Secretly Society, and the secretly group generally, is their use of those Whiplash vinyl mailers. Damn they're good.

    The Blue Note Thread

It might be a bit "route one" but I love Inner Urge, been meaning to save some cash to get the SRX pressing. And an upcoming Tone Poet release, Andrew Hill's Black Fire is another cracker featuring Henderson.

    Incense appreciation thread

... I'm also thinking there's a gap in the market for a vinyl subscription club with a matched, custom incense to compliment the music

    Incense appreciation thread

I love the raw purity in using wood or resin like this. It's taken me a while to find the best way to use it but Palo Santo or sandalwood chips are so nice. I haven't used the larger pieces of Palo Santo which I think you're using, where you literally light an end and let it smoke? I should try...

Yes! I am 100% with you on this. There is something so immersive in combining music and incense. Something I used to do but haven't for a while is pick a record, quite late at night, light some incense, turn the lights out, lay back on the sofa and just absorb the music. It becomes a...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Hmmmm Weyes Blood is now listed on my orders page (not shipments page thanks @Enoch!) as "will be bundled with your July record of the month) which is new. I'm guessing I'm in the second group? Or maybe everyone is who really knows

    R.I.P. VMP Forum

I have to admit, I get a laugh out of the promo photos every month. When I had a more positive overall outlook regarding VMP I took the view that there was some humour in there, almost an in-joke thing to see how many infuriating details you could spot. I still kind of feel like there's...

    POLL: Favorite Beatles Album?

So cool! My mum had the Beatles Box, or I should say still has the Beatles Box - I remember that box so well, the packing crate design with all the records inside. Even back then the box itself was slightly falling apart from love and overuse. My mum grew up in England and was a teenager in the...

    POLL: Favorite Beatles Album?

Tomorrow Never Knows is such a fantastic track and so far ahead of its time - it would not be out of place on a Chemical Brothers album, I know they credit its influence.
