    Vinyl Me Please Classics

I think Mwandishi has been in the pipeline for Classics for a while, it's just a matter of it getting the honor being Classics #100 or not.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

I asked storf this a while back and he said he'd want to do the complete 2LP version, both volumes together.

The three that stand out most to me are Coltrane, Herbie and Toussaint imo. The entire list is so good though, hopefully they eventually reissue all of those

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

I don't have Attica Blues or Koko Taylor but the 2 Miles Davis Classics ROTMs are direct-to-board, yes. Every single other one is in a tip-on And I will say, they started as all being pressed at GZ until for that sweet little stretch when they were at QRP. Then back to GZ minus a 3 month run of...

I'm betting on Bad Company S/T and Deep Purple Burn, but could also be Doobies and my long shot (since it just got a 50th anniversary "special edition" repress), but Grateful Dead's From The Mars Hotel.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

eh, AAA cut by Ryan Smith, tip-on jacket, insert booklet.....the going rate for vinyl like this is $35-40 anywhere, only places cheaper are direct from label pressings, not 3rd party labels. Not for nothing, VG+ originals of this album go for over $100

Every other Blue Note Classic I've gotten since they started releasing them has been full of non-fill. And it hasn't gotten better. The only issue I ever have with GZ is a SUPER high warp rate. Like 50% of GZ pressings are warped at least minority in my experience. The vinyl isn't as quiet as...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

This is true, but I'm pretty sure 13th Floor Elevators is the only truly numerical band in my collection, felt dumb just having it before "A" and nothing else.....and to be fair, on the label of "The Psychedelic Sounds..." it spells the bands name out with words not numbers anyway.

Pretty sure Chad told someone that he was gonna repress all of the CCR albums at some point, which is exciting. I really want a reasonably priced copy of their Willie & The Poor Boys and Green River

Not sure why they use the AP logo and tag on that if it is the Craft Miles Showell pressing: https://www.discogs.com/release/13355886-Creedence-Clearwater-Revival-Bayou-Country. deceptive/erroneous marketing Which is not bad but no where near as good as the AP — which fantasy used the Plates on...

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Won't be Essentials, the Essentials one is a "70s punk album"

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Could be, we just know it's not London Calling. The Essentials September ROTM is from the 70s so that one is def not Combat Rock. Probably 50/50 whether it's Ramones or Clash too, not 100% Clash

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I put them under the letter the number begins with (13th Floor Elevators go under "T") but I used to do it the other way a while ago (numerals before A). I changed because some number bands are spelled out in word (Nine Inch Nails, Four Tops, Five Iron Frenzy) while others use a number (13th...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Most of the time companies fail because of poor management decisions not because of how well sales and business is going. So it's a hard thing to judge but I don't think sales and business are hurting based on the 20,000 subscribers and the fact that all of their latest blunders have been...

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Joni is July, DMX is August. Clash was all but confirmed for September, and I think it still is unless they shuffled another rock album to Essentials to replace it.

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

I think the double month will be DMX more likely than the Clash. But it's all speculation. There are none hinted at being more likely than any other, the only clue given was 2 ROTMs by the same artist in the same month. It's definitely gonna be London Calling though in Essentials in September...

Not too many AAA albums recorded in 2008. This album is fairly new.

I’m curious if the KG remaster is just the same plates they used here or another new remaster: https://www.discogs.com/release/17800651-Violent-Femmes-Violent-Femmes And I wonder if in any case that previous KG is AAA, I bet it is

The thing is, on the 45 RPM versions they cut the opening track into 2 sides and put a fade out/fade in at the end of side A and beginning of side B, which is pretty lame. The 33 version is very exciting because we get Ole not broken in half finally
