As far as I can remember they won the European Cup in 1983 against Juventus and that was the final title. From there on it all went downhill. If you want to see the model decline of a club, just google their performance within the last ~10 years. Hence my disbelief regarding their signing of Son.

I don't know if Hamburger SV rings too many bells here but the fact that Son played five entire seasons for the club (before moving on to Leverkusen and Tottenham) is hard to believe.
