Further to what Kvetcha asked and to be clear in my mind , you are having the opposite issue to the one Ghost raised on p112 post 2221 where in his picture , the arm was so low that is touched the edge of the record . A picture like the one Ghost took would be very helpful . Back to the repeat...

I used this method to check my arm before I got a clear guide . I carefully added some additional lines . It worked fine to check how level the arm is but you have to be careful where you position as if you get too close to the outside edge of the record the raised edge will skew the results .

I read the thread for the Humminguru and it looks interesting . As I was making my way through the various comments , I see you and others mentioned the thunderon conductive brush for static control. I live in southern Ontario and static is a major winter problem . A humidifier helped , but I...

I just noticed that I have been promoted from a new member to a member , not sure what the trigger was , but I feel kind of special at this point , well at least for 30 seconds or so .

Good to hear , the clear Azimuth/VTA guide is a very useful tool to have and cheap on amazon. In a pinch i have used a small level or cut a guide from cardboard ensuring it was level, to check the arm .

I have taken a shot of that part of the manual if you cannot read you can get the manual online. As they note you must get the arm level with the record surface . There are a lot of video's online about the general set up . A lot suggest that you need to rest the needle on a stationary medium...

Could it be that the back of the arm dropped ie the small screw used to move the whole are up and down came loose and the rear dropped .

Just to be clear its the arm touching the record? I had noted other people comment on queue lever issues and leaking fluid from the lift , are you seeing any leaks ?

Both you and Kvetcha appear to be happy . Is speed an issue given it appears to clean one record at a time . Do you use just distilled water or add something to help clean .

I have looked at these types of systems but they can be costley . I presently have a vac system that is fine except for some used records so at this point I reclean them a couple of times and the needle catches what I miss so to speak .

The MOFI LP#9 stylus cleaner is $25 US ,$33 Canadian so its the same issue but a lot of TT manufactures note you have to use their product or there will be warranty issues so I stuck with their product as the master tracker stylus shape really digs the dirt out of the tracks no matter how much...

Thanks for the information . Like a lot of the members I agree it still does not justify the high cost for MOFI grease . High profit tends to be in the accessories. With that said I had purchased some along with the styles cleaner which has a strong smell of alcohol so that's what i expect it...

I did an online scan of recommended grease for the MOFI TT spindle and all I really came up with was the recommendation to use ester-based bearing grease. It was implied that the MOFI spindle grease was ester-based . To be clear , I have no experience in the lubrication field , well maybe a...

I got my MOFI grease through my Dealer along with some other things last year and yes it was expensive up in Canada . I just did a search and only could find the grease on some sites outside of the USA and not on the MOFI sites . You may have to reach out to MOFI directly to find a source or...

I would suggest that you ask Mr Google how to set the VTA. A number of sites and videos will come up to walk you through the process in as much detail as you want . Be careful not to be dragged down the rabbit hole . When I measure the diameter of the arm from one end to the other it is...

Looking at the bottom of the guide , the line for 2.5 appears to be under the number so I expect you will read all setting this way ie the line is under the number . I have found that sometimes moving the guide in front of the arm and using the dotted line on the arm as a reference also helps...
