I have a couple of records with off center holes . I am interested to know what the result is too the ear. I think you are saying that you need a consistent sound to hear the implications of the needle moving from one side of the groove to the other instead of tracking in the center as it should .

Yes resist that little grub screw and let us know what MOFI says as it increases the body of info on the forum . Watch out for Turn table ghost from the past as it is the season . That or just bad luck and timing .

Like Kvetcha noted , I remember others who had this problem and maybe they can offer comments , I would reach out to your dealer/MOFI to see what they say about either refilling or replacement of the part . Is it still under warrantee?

I had an old Duel 505-2 that had an anti skate adjustment ring and when turned in one direction or the other the sound balance would move right or left and the quality of the music would change . Changing the anti skate on the old Duel or the MOFI never caused any static . Online research...

I also have static in left channel , but its not the cartridge and its been going on and off for years and i cannot find the source ---sorry off track . I have moved the o ring to all four settings and have not heard any real consistent change on my system given my older ears.

I went the route of upgrading my TT to the Ultradeck/mastertracker and then when I adjusted to the new sound started to work on tweaking the system with new interconnects, power cables and new isolation and found a major improvement in the overall sound . In the end did not feel it necessary to...

Like Anthonyl and Angsty ( the double A team ) I would also suggest that you change one thing at a time . It will take time and a bit of tweeting to get use to the new equipment . At this point you will have a good reference point to judge against .

Its still up for sale in the general market place . Its hard to tell from the MOFI site as sometimes they do not show the product , but then it comes back . I did not see any specific reference to it being discontinued , but that does not mean it has not been dropped .
