Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Clearly the theme for this week is "Images of Mouths That Make Me Uncomfortable"

I need an NME rap review like I need a hole in the head but not sure I fully disagree with their assessment here (granted I enjoy the album a good deal more than they do), my take right now is if you enjoyed Pablo you'll probably enjoy Donda, the very feature-heavy & disjointed nature of the...

Only got to listen to half of Donda so far, quite like what I heard. Fivio, The Weeknd and Baby Keem particularly stood out as excellent features

Many labels seem to know the score and do that by default alright; I just leave it up to them and let the gods decide if I subsequently need to pay customs or not haha

I think I’d be paying a cool €100 if I got burned importing it to Ireland anyway

Mach-Hommy: better value than VMP confirmed I went to bed happy with my decision not to buy a 333 dollar record and seeing everyone going HAM and buying out the 2LP has me eyeing up that dumb 7” box set now

ReturnOf4Eva is missing SIX tracks... what a disappointing release. Had a few opportunities to get that and the box set at reasonable prices, been kicking myself the last while over that

Vinyl-Digital Rome Streetz x Futurewave pre orders. Slightly cheaper than buying from the webstore for those in the EU I think! https://www.vinyl-digital.com/en/EXCLUSIVES/Rome-Streetz-Futurewave-Razor-s-Edge-VinDig-Edition-Deep-Ocean-09549833.html...

I think if you like Dave and Slowthai, Pa Salieu would be your thing too. He does UK Hip Hop fairly similarly to them but incorporates a bit more Afrobeat and UK Drill which are very popular among contemporary UK Artists I’m also a big fan of J Hus and Nines, both of their recent albums...

@blenxosmith I’d heard the drop was a UK region-locked release and that a wider release for international customers would follow; nothing more concrete than that though!

Yeah passed on this too, feel the same way. Particularly when it’s a pre order and there hasn’t even been a chance to listen to it before forking out 50 quid (before adding international shipping)

Hopefully the new Dave album… it got a UK drop on the merch site but no international shipping I heard? Missed it either way, fingers crossed it pops up again cause the album is great

Nope! Going for whatever version is most convenient is the move I reckon. Plus you get the OG cover! I think if you miss it somehow copies of this should be available afterwards at a reasonable price too

Looking forward to seeing where this new project goes, he's very inconsistent but IWASVERYBAD was a seriously underappreciated album when it came out, nothing he's done since has reached that yet. His consistent fan interaction and promo stuff he does for his projects is very cool though
