Songs 1 through 6 are a 5/5. After that is a 3/5 at best. I've listened to this album so many times and still could not tell you what "Grace" sounds like.
I hope this isn't the only U2 album in the book. It's a good album but if all their big albums it's probably one of my lesser favorites. It's got some of their best songs but most of the 2nd half is pretty forgettable.
This album has never been one of my favorite hip hop albums but I do admire that it sounds a little different than most stuff coming out at the time. "Tennessee" is probably one of my favorite 90's songs though.
I'm amazed and how many bland, arena rock songs there are that I didn't realize were Def Leppard. This album is like the Joshua Tree of boring 80's hair metal.
Oddly enough I found the songs towards the end of the album more enjoyable than the first part. Maybe I need to check out some of the prior albums. The Related Artists were a lot of 90's alternative and post-grunge bands. I didn't get that vibe at all from this album.
This album had it's moments but overall I found the vocals pretty irritating. Kind of sounds likes a mix of Paramour, Muse and Ours.
Their All Music Similar Artists section lists a lot of bands that I like (Including Manic Street Preachers!), so maybe this just isn't a good entry point?
