I saw Mammal Hands the other night. 2025 off to a great start with gigs for me - they are quite probably my favourite UK jazz band of recent times. Love the interplay of piano, sax and drums.

Day 3 - National Golden Retriever Day Nirvana - Nevermind Not sure I'm going to play all 10 LPs today but love the live records off this (and of course the original album, which, as a cliché, reminds me of my own teenage angst and somehow playing Territorial Pissings in the car with my parents).

Day 2 - Groundhog Day The Beatles - Live at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962 Nearly entirely cover versions. Fascinating picture of the Beatles just before fame hits, and a surprisingly decent bootleg. Continuing my jag on recent Japanese pressings I've picked up.

I feel like it's warming up before its trip to the frozen north...

Really enjoying this album from Mary Chapin Carpenter, Julie Fowlis and Karine Polwart. Gentle and beautiful, good mix of their styles.

Having done this a few years ago, I decided recently I'd try to do this at the start of each decade. Not sure how many I've got left but seemed like a decent way of listening to everything at least several more times...

I was going to say this too. Can't get enough of that show. Would like some more live REM on wax. Lifes Rich Pageant my favourite too. Think this would be top 5 along with Murmur, New Adventures and maybe Reckoning.

I have no idea. But I love this song, so all bodes well...
