I did the newer Neil Young albums I needed: Ragged Glory, Weld, Freedom, along with some back catalog albums I needed to round it out in the Target sale.
Recently installed my SAE 1000LT once my Grado Platinum3 started showing issues after 2 years of loyal service. I like the SAE, but wanted to make sure I was running the optimal settings on my Insight. Where should I be for this cart? The internet is not helping.
I’m going to take credit that my measured criticism of them convinced them that they were playing politics and needed to go back to work. You all can thank me by DM’ing me Bandcamp gift certificates.
Nothing sticks out to me as something I have to have, so I feel good there. I'm not saying I may not scour online for stuff, but I don't feel any compulsion to do so at this point.
Not only that, but the deal they turned down was a 50% raise and no automation for the next 5 years (which at that point you could threaten another strike to continue the promise). It makes it very hard to have sympathy. I think the government should use Taft-Hartley to make them go back to...
I have the Platinum 3 and have loved it. It is finally worn out after two years and I need to replace it. I have a backup cart for now, but for the trade in, does anyone have experience with the carts up the line? The Sonata, Master, or Reference? Not seeing a ton online.
This is an interesting show as it doesn’t really sound like a 76 show nor does it really sound like a Spring 77 show either. New Years shows are their own unique beast. It’s an interesting choice for vinyl.
The new Jamie XX sounds great, but man Side F, track 1 is cut so hot that the only way mine didn't skip was having my finger on the cart pressing down. That's my only issue with the album as otherwise it is great.
Portions of it were released on Dick’s 29 and Road Trips 1.2, so it is unlikely that the show would ever see a full release given how they handle releases.
I doubt they have 20k subscribers any more. Most vinyl people I know in real life think decently of them but don’t have a subscription (a number of whom used to). I could see that number being closer to 10k and that’s why there more of a financial squeeze.
With Gus Cannon, if they were smart they would have really cut into the pressing numbers this month given the international change, etc. If Joni was 3,500, I could see Gus being only a few thousand pressed.
