I think Coltrane and Miles take up the most shelf space for me. Not sure exact counts. There’s a lot of Bruce too.

Is there a way to sort the collection on Discogs to check those numbers easily? I'm curious now but way to lazy to count them individually, lol

I’d imagine it’s be Dylan; Beatles; Springsteen. That said I have those 4 Bowie boxes so he’d be up there too even though it’s just 4 on the shelf and actually the same with Kate Bush. I have a lot of Neil Young too. If we include CDs and vinyl mixed my oasis collection must be 60 or 70...

@gafacaode I just ended up thinking of the names I thought I might have the most of then searching them in the collection section of Discogs and adding them up.

I’m surprised at 31 Queen if I’m honest, I didn’t think they’d released that much! Unless you include singles, my tonne of oasis stuff includes all their CD singles and some vinyl ones too...

@Joe Mac years ago l I was able to pick up queen albums for 50p a time at carboots etc (which is also why I have quite a few Bowie and Beatles records). So I have all 15 of their studio albums then a ton of live albums, japan-only albums, interview albums, etc. If I included singles/7"/12"/Picture discs/flexi-discs it would be 56 according to discogs......and thats before their solo work 😳

Ok, I'm going to count this. Do multiple copies count? As in I have like 3 different pressings of Sticky Fingers, do I count 1 or 3?

Since I'm a Bowie competitionist, definitely Bowie. Like @Joe Mac, I got a lot of records at thrift stores when you could still get good cheap records, so I also have a ton of Beatles, Billy Joel, and Elton John.

Well, there were some surprises! FWIW, I've counted in different pressings of the same album: Bowie 44; Stones 43; Beatles: 19; Talking Heads: 17; Hoodoo Gurus: 15; Miles Davis 15; King Gizzard: 14 and Dylan at 13. Did not expect to see Dylan at 8th. Now if I weren't counting the different pressings, Dylan would jump 2 positions.
Conclusion: I need more Dylan

@gafacaode 44 Bowie is super impressive, its like a whole kallax shelf (official unit of measure)!

Blur as well actually; Discogs tripped me up since the Blur 21 box set is considered one release

I believe my top is the Beatles, but I don't remember exact numbers for them, then probably Gorillaz at 6, then System of A Down and Metallica are tied at 4, then maybe slipknot with 3 of their albums and a single, followed by Avenged sevenfold with 3 of their albums

So I have 26 Dylan (I thought that would be well in 30s actually...); 20 Beatles; when you explode the boxes I have 51 Bowie...
