Needles & Grooves

I have a few things I have come across this week that I’ve been excited about. New Waxahatchee, New Real Estate, then two new ones I was happy to discover in Alexander DePlume and my favorite thing so far of this new year Kiwi Jr.’s Football Money.

@TenderLovingKiller® There's definitely some albums that are gonna be great, excited for Destroyer, King Krule, Moses Sumney and the singles are great. But no albums that I wanna call home about, y'know? lol Enjoyable but nothing I wanna buy yet

Ya know what, King Krule has NEVER clicked with me. It’s strange because it seems like something I should love. I keep going back in every time he releases new music but nada. And maybe I am just craving some Indie Rock but I have listened to the Kiwi Jr album a half dozen times since Tuesday and it is fantastic.

Yeah, I actually never heard of King Krule until he announced his new album... wasn't gonna pick it up until I heard a few songs that were gonnna be a part of it and I was sold.But I did go listen to his old stuff and it didn't click with me.

I'm struggling with the same thing. Had some songs catch my ear but then listened to full albums and they just didn't grab me. Bring on next week!haha

I've also been digging on that Kiwi Jr. album @TenderLovingKiller®. Such a fun listen.

The new Andy Shauf out today sounds great, and I'm really enjoying Jeff Parker's new one.
