I thought they were pretty awful for the first few years, at least for their price point...I bet a lot of people are just doing like me and not letting go of initial impressions
The older ones were really cheaply made, then weighted to feel like better components, which didn’t help. I also thought a lot of them sounded like a boombox with that fkn “Bass Boost” button clicked on. I haven’t retried since they got acquired though.
The one ones were junk quality and sounded just as @Corycm says, nasty and boomy. I‘ll confess to having some newer ones and the sound is more neutral and with the W1 chip the connection to apple devices is impressive!
