He had a bit of a meltdown tried to sell his entire collection, but only if you wanted to but the entire thing for $65k in one go, and then left claiming we were all bullying him.
Oh wow @Joe Mac that's crazy. I just remembered on the old forum he was super active in the R&HH thread and realised I hadnt seen him in so long. 65k damn
Tbh he had a lot of very rare records and he bought more than he could really afford. It was the Discogs median of his collection but he couldn’t seem to understand that only a dealer would buy the collection in one go and that they’d only pay 1/2 to 2/3 because it has to be financially worthwhile to them. To get that amount he’d literally have to sell them one by one.
He considered people pointing that out to him to be bullying and other people wishing him well to be condescending I think. Wanna know the weirdest thing, he didn’t actually like RHH, he just had decided that he was collecting VMP and so he had to have them all!
Yeah of course. No collector in their right mind is gonna just dump 65k out there for a VMP collection just because.i couldn't believe he had every single release it seemed crazy to me.Like there was no way you could enjoy everything they shovel out. It was obviously more of an OCD collect the lot addiction and not for the enjoyment of actually playing vinyl.Which we are all guilty of at times but not to that extent
He considered himself a collector more than a music fan I think. Although he did like music and claimed their curation was his way of pushing his tastes. Me and him butted heads quite a lot in the old place because I am anti limited and would always try to feed that back, he didn’t like that so much for obvious reasons!
