HPB finds are the best! Were you at the one over by the mall? I have found some bargains there. Though you gotta dig through a whole lotta overpriced pap to get to the good stuff.

Yes I go there a lot. Like you said there’s a lot of overpriced common items but I frequently find good deals as well. Unfortunately all the Tacoma record stores are silly expensive

Really the only two I actively go to are HPB & Hi-Voltage which isn’t terrible as long as ya have the discogs app to check prices and avoid the classic rock section. 20% off loyalty stamp card helps too.

Though last week I decided to explore some of the other record stores on 6th Ave. Rocket Records was 100% overpriced garbage but I did enjoy Turntable Treasures, they have a lot of stuff but there is good value to be had there if you look hard enough. I hope to hit up Golden Oldies and Drastic Plastic in the near future too.

I’m going to be honest I haven’t been back to hi voltage in a year and my opinion of their pricing may differ now with a year of buying under my belt, I went to turntable treasures went through half the jazz section and left I found there pricing to be outrageous they were selling 1-5 dollar common jazz records for 15-25.
