@BjorgenFjorgen i forecast this 6 months ago. I’m from a traditional labour voting constituency. Corbyn was deeply unpopular. The fall of the red wall is on the shoulders of him and his supporters. With the lowest labour vote since Churchill swept after WWII and the best Tory vote since 1987 can paint no other picture than an outright rejection of Corbyn. This is not just a Brexit result.
I see that Corbyn himself was not particularly popular -- I'm not really sure why -- but he ran on protecting the NHS and acting on climate change, the Tories ran a massive disinformation campaign, and the people voted for dumb shit, yet again. That's not an indictment on their policies.
No it’s not, it’s an indictment on him and his supporters. He’s comes across as rude and cantankerous on tele. He couldn’t deal with anti-semitism, momentum and his supporters assume you agree or are evil and so don’t properly sell their policies. He has a history of views that are easily twisted. He has monumentally fudged the brexit issue. I could go on and on and on.
I support labour policy but if I still lived at home I’d have been voting for him holding my nose. A deeply arrogant and flawed man with no leadership skills. The worst labour leader since Michael Foot, who was at least a decent man. His head must roll.
I mean, if there were ever a time to be rude and cantankerous...This expectation of civility when dealing with lying and cheating Tories has really got to be put to rest.
