Storf must be huffin' some serious farts right now.

My impression is that Stax was built on singles rather than albums, and as such, albums contain lots of filler. If I were interested (I’m not supporting VMP) I’d want to know the album titles first.

@High Rant District That's my understanding and a lot of the killer Stax albums have seen recent re-release as well. Certainly there will be some good ones in there, but my guess is that you can take the 8 artists and create a better set with albums that have available represses now for under $300.

8 albums for $300, oh my days. You’d have to be lobotomised to think that’s good value.

@Joe Mac for all of the Stax overload, they could have done Albert King and Booker T and The MGs. Instead, Carla Thomas. Like Muzak for vocals.
