Residents probably won’t be able to help since they have to pay VAT. My assumption (which could definitely not be correct) is some store list the VAT baked in to the price of the product (thus they would have to remove it once it is determined you are a US customer. Where as others might be adding VAT as you check out and since you list a US address they never add the VAT to the total.

...either that or some web stores are too dumb to determine between US and U.K. purchasers and just over charge ya?

I was looking at a particular release at different shops and only one of them was cheaper in cart than on the product page, so I thought it was something to do with VAT. However, I changed the country code back to UK and it stayed the same, so maybe it is just a glitch. 
Seeing if Norman records will price match (they told me to ask on the cart page) since their shipping is £10 cheaper.
