How long for? How many cities/districts do you intend to visit? I'm hoping to travel there next year, too.

Tokyo for 5 days, Kyoto for 3, Osaka for 4, and then back to Tokyo for one more. Incredibly stoked.

If possible spend more time on Kyoto than Osaka try to go to Nara there's a lot to do in that region and maybe checkout the rail pass if you haven't already
