I'm not excusing VMP, but vinyl production delays have become an industry wide problem. VMP should probably start over estimating on their shipping estimates though and then people would be happy if they arrive a month early. Also, and I can't imagine them doing this, but not charge folks until pre-orders ship.

Or don’t announce preorders until you have them in hand...especially for all these reissues...there’s no reason to announce and delay delay delay

Sure, for things like the Prestige variants I agree they should wait until they have them in the warehouse before listing them. For New Releases and New Reissues, people on the VMP Forum (RIP) were constantly asking them if they would be carrying something that had been announced or if they should order elsewhere. I just think they should overestimate and add a caveat about potential delays.
