As far as I can tell, the "total number" seems to be delayed in catching up to your likes. So if you wait and you don't get any more new likes for a bit the total amount will catch up, almost like it only refreshes every 15 minutes or something.

@Mather my current theory is that you don’t get credit for any reacts that are wow, sad or mad, cause my score keeps staying at 3 below my total. Not that it matters, I just like knowing the system ha
