I sold the ones with real value (more than $20) on amazon/eBay. I took the rest of my movies to a record store that sells used dvd/movies. It felt good to get rid of them.

@BjorgenFjorgen I considered this, but the thought of walking into a Silver Platters w/ 700 movies is... not ideal. I've sold to Eagle Saver before and that went okay, but I was hoping there was some online buyer I was unaware of.

@MikeyP Most record stores will have a buyer that you could contact. They do house calls all the time to check out and appraise people's huge collections.

@Kris just mentally getting to a point where I've decided to sell them has been a big relief. I can't imagine what it will actually feel like to free up all that physical space.
