My first thought was ZZ Top. But I do like it.

I just put in the preorder for the indie variant LP from Bullmoose. I suspect that he’s intentionally rejecting the “savior of country music” label that’s been thrown his way. Still, he’s on some weird shit regardless.

I don’t know. While the music isn’t inherently country, the lyrics and his actual singing are. Sort of like Shooter’s Countach. I can’t wait to see what he does with it live.
