Luckily it wasn't during rush hour or it could have been a whole lot worse. I never really drive on that part of the Beltway but the parts I do go on would be all lanes filled with crawling traffic.

Reporting on this has kind of been weird. I keep seeing reports about how 8 construction workers were on the bridge but I haven't really seen any sources talking about how many cars were on the bridge.
