Rosamund Pike and the soundtrack are the only things I liked about the movie. It thinks it’s so much more clever and outrageous than it actually is

@Fleetwood-Matt i think it skewers part of the British class system pretty spot on in both directions. In both the false benevolence of the upper classes and the way a certain upwardly mobile portion of the lower middle classes overemphasise their working class credentials to make themselves seem more exotic to upper classes.

I had a ton of fun watching it in theaters with a scandalized crowd, but it is basically beautifully plated trash. It’s a very dumb movie that’s under the delusion it is a masterpiece.
