@nolalady - funny I said the same thing in the Discogs thread where @Hemotep posted the article there as well.

"Many sellers who spoke with The Verge speculated, in line with the viral thread, that the company was trying to pump up its valuation for a potential sale"....hey, that's Lloyd Starr's music!

@D Jilla I thought it was a bit odd that the article does not acknowledge Starr and his industry resume.

@Indymisanthrope yeah, same - that's a key element of the story that makes the rest of it make sense (they could still keep the "greed" angle in the article - actually strengthen it, even)

I interviewed w/ Discogs a number of months ago for a Product Manager job, glad I dodged that bullet.
