When you switch the speakers does the issue move from left to right?

Yeah the same speaker always sounds muffled and not nearly the same level, I switched cables, amp, preamp, speakers. The whole time I thought there’s no way it was always the speaker.

Hey but on the bright side you've figured it out! Chasing nebulous stereo issues is always the most annoying thing about this hobby.

It’s my first negative experience, even though I got in my own way by presuming it wasn’t anything to do with the new speakers. Had I been fully logical in my problem solving I would have been able to discover it sooner.

Warranty is three years, I’ll reach out to Magnepan.

Don't worry, none of us are fully logical.
