I did something similar—went to North Carolina where temperatures were around 75-80 highs and returned to NOLA which is heated to a toasty 100 degrees by Satan’s farts.

i don't know how you guys down south do it. there were some mornings here in western ma when I woke up to take dogs out at 6AM and it was already 70 degrees, and it immediately put me in a foul mood knowing it would only get hotter. but even with that start, it rarely broke 90 degrees as a high here. i'm just not made for the heat
