Saw Soccer Mommy open for The National and enjoyed her sound live quite a bit much noisier and guitar heavy than any of the studio tracks I’ve listened to which sounded much more along the lines of bedroom pop. Is her newer stuff a bit noisier or is that just a byproduct of her performing live?

yeah newest one is pretty great. Second one was more tame with probably her best song sprinkled in. I still think her first album is her best, very emo-y and feels like a sister record to the first Snail Mail record since they came out in the same year.

Is this a safe space to admit that I still enjoy those first 4 or so Sheryl Crow albums quite a bit, and that her being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame, while maybe a bit premature, doesn’t upset me at all? Hopefully she does regret that Kid Rock duet though. Also, very cool cover from Soccer Mommy.
