No records related but I spent a few days in Florence thanks to business meetings. I enjoyed an evening at La Loggia del Piazzale Michelangelo. Take the famous Bistecca Alla Florentina with a Chianti red wine and enjoy the view. Fantastic place for a romantic dinner.

Ah fantastic, we are going to Piazzale Michelangelo in the evening so I will have a look at La Loggia for sure! We are staying at a vineyard in Siena for a couple of nights so the wine will be flowing (im a novice so hoping this opens my tastebuds up a bit).

Recommendation is no shops - more wine...

I loved the Florence area so much when we went last year. We stopped for a quick drink at Move On which is a pub/record shop. Not the greatest selection ever, but a fun spot.

We did Pisa, Florence and Rome last month and loved them, I’m sure you will too. I think Venice is still my ‘I’d like to retire there’ place but, Florence could be a close second. Try and book any of your ‘must sees’ in advance if you can. We went during a school holiday so it may not always be so busy but defo glad we booked what we could.
