Nah I’m about to purge a large portion of my collection due to crippling medical debt. Dont want to get screwed as I have plenty of records unopened or mint condition. I have been burned on eBay before as a seller but not for records.
In the description of unopened items I always put presumed mint and that sellers assumes risk of pressing defects. I also make the offer to open seal and ship outside of jacket, but if that offer is declined that I'm not liable for seam splits. I don't know if this would cover me bc I've never had issues but I feel it puts buyer on alert.
I even put a note that all records leaving me sit flat on the TT, unless otherwise notes, and that I cannot control the wx and how long a package sits in the heat so not to order from me in the summer if this is a concern. Again, never had a problem.
Honestly it’s mostly defaulting back onto PayPal and their resolution process with them as the payment provider. So in that sense it’s likely going to be very similar. I’ve not yet had that problem as a seller on the platform.
@djdavedk I use a link in my listing to imgur and it works like a charm. Cause we all know - grading system be damned - one collector's NM is another's VG+ so I give visual documentation which should flatten any discrepancies in grading interpretation
If PayPal is used, the buyer can always open a claim. I think PP made the window longer, so put in your terms how long they have to file a complaint with you. Mine says: "Buyer must contact me within 72 hours of receipt if they are not satisfied with purchase due to grading discrepancy. After that no adjustments will be granted. Purchase confirms legal agreement with this notice for PayPal terms."
