@ranbalam Reddit made some changes to their back end which included no longer supporting third party apps, and their CEO has been a bit of a jackass about it. Most subs went down for 2 days in protest which would have ended today, except a lot of them have decided to stay down indefinitely in protest.

It's not so much not supporting third party it's pricing API calls beyond sane levels for a 3rd party that would be making millions of calls a day on behalf of their user base. It's really just the free to grow then pay to stay model all over again.

As someone who's never used a third party reddit app (or reddits offical mobile app) the reasons behind said blackout are superfluous to me. All know is some amazing communities are down indefinitely.
