If I have to hear one more inane song intro along the lines of “keep your long weekend party going with the Wave and Steppenwolf” I am going to go @Mather on my neighbour

Get ready for another non-stop six-pack of classic rock, starting with Foghat, on 103.7, the Flab

my neighbor was jamming out to classic rock radio a few weekends ago and I wanted to snap. It was really only bothering me for a few songs of him singing along to Queen. Something about having some generic radio playlist was extra annoying. At least put on a full album and I'd respect it more.

So tedious... I heard Old Time Rock & Roll today and wanted to break something

Growing up, back in the 70s, aor radio like WLUP in Chicago was really good. They played many different songs by many different bands, delving deep into LPs, never limiting themselves to the same hoary old chestnuts like today's stations.

Alright, that was the "Old Man Rant of the Day," brought to you by Laser Spine Specialists. Now back to the rock, with Bachman Turner Overdrive, on 103.7, The Flab

I'm with you on your rant @dansomeone
My workplace's shop radio is on a classic rock station and it's the same batch of tunes every freaking day. I spend about half my day out there and it's torture. Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Ratt, GnR, AC/DC, Motley Crue, over and over and over. Back when I was younger there was so much variety...but so many of those songs are scrubbed from terrestrial radio.
