As someone who didn’t even know about Isbell until Southeastern, all I can say is damn he was a train wreck until he got sober. This documentary laid it all out there, but it was so good. I saw it at the nashville premier but I want to watch it again already. His parents and Amanda were at the Nashville premier so it had to be tough for everyone involved.
I’m kind of hit or miss with her solo music, but I feel like she adds a ton to the group’s sound. And my impression of her as a person went up even higher after watching that doc.
