Almost exclusively small venues for me (~300cap). Sometimes up to 1000cap.

Tickets usually no more than $35 after fees. Often < $28.

By never going to stadium shows. In my 12ish years of concert going I've never been and dont think I'm missing out. Only 2-3 arena shows as well.

I get the no stadium shows - that's not my usual thing (but my daughter likes Beyoncé, so I thought I'd check) - and Bey is likely the most expensive artist out there, but tickets across the board are expensive. Jason Isbell tickets are $200+ for good seats, Sunny Day Real Estate tickets I bought were $72, Alvvays is $40 at a club. The Joel Plaskett show I just saw was $40.

I don't live in a major urban centre, so it's not an option anyway, but it's hard to imagine going to as many show as I did in my youth unless I won the lottery or was bequeathed some substantial inheritance.
