Well, except for the fact that Phoebe can sing, play guitar, and is talented as opposed to DJ Khalid who biggest talent is being friends with talented artists.

@TenderLovingKiller® i worked on something with DJ Khaled at the start of the pandemic and it was pretty laughable how bad his track turned out even with a ghost writer. Had to end up mostly using the ghost writer’s performance

@MikeH yeah, I don’t get it. He can’t sing, rap, play instruments, initially I assumed that the “DJ” in his name meant he produced beats like Pete Rock or Dilla or something until I found out it was in referred to his job as a fucking radio DJ.

so basically he gets his famous friends to record verses over other famous friends beats and releases the album under his name and gets to “perform” on SNL and win Grammy’s. It’s a good gig if you can get it.

@TenderLovingKiller® his “skill” is networking and knowing who to put on what tracks. I think he’s a total clown but the guy did make some fun summer jams at one point

Networking is hell and people who are good at it are devils.

International Phoebe Bridgers Day?

My old boss was signed to We the Best and was his touring DJ for a bit (real DJ-ing). I held my opinion about Khaled to myself but being compared to him doesn't sound like a compliment. Unless someone was like "They're the DJ Khaled of MLM" and then Id figure they had a lot of people on their abani berry downstream

It wasn’t a compliment or an insult. It was comparing how like Khaled is on every album in rap/pop she is on every album In indie. Really isn’t that deep lol
