I’ve noticed this a lot too. Shops just buy them for $15 then sell for $30+ to make a quick buck.

I guess it's one way for Big boxes to help independent shops? I find it a bit tacky of shops that do that but then again I can't fully blame them.

@MikeH the small one closest to my house was telling me he has a “Target guy.” They’re always opened or new, but it’s the stuff no one wants. Like The Proud Family soundtrack…no one is buying that for $15. It seems like a weird way to spend money on stock.

Umm mostly that is record collectors buying them from walmart and target and trading them in for store credit lol

@TheThinWhiteDuke hard to imagine the collectors making much, if any, money on them. Shops near me pay 50% what they are gonna resell for or less. Not sure how many records are selling for under $8 at target/Walmart…
