Happened a couple times this year and they all told me my option was return and refund or pound sand. I could stop buying records, but not everyone is jerk face liar, so I just shrug it off.

I emailed them, but I figure they will just tell me to return it at my expense. Even worse, is that I ordered it from the artist bandcamp page but looks to be run by the label. I pay full price for exclusivity, if not I could just wait to get everything on the Target 3 for 2 sale.

I fully agree. The ones I had it happen with were only sold by the artist and are hard to find so I felt trapped, but in your case I'd complain a lot. They should say least be willing to send you a signed jacket or something to make up for it imo. Hope you get good news.

Also are you 100% sure they didn't sign it somewhere weird? Only asking because I thought this happened on the new Built to Spill, but they signed the back of the jacket for some reason

and then there is B&N who’s “autographed” versions contain a lil’ slip of signed paper. (womp womp)

halfway through reading this status I thought you were going to complain about splatter not looking how it was advertised... but not getting something that was supposed to be signed is a massive difference.
